HELLO ALL!

Hello. My name is Holly and I am going to India on a gap year with Project Trust. When I'm there I will be teaching school children, in either Andhra Pradesh or Tamil Nadu. Both regions are in the south of the country. Hopefully my project may involve teaching children with visual impairments... but I won't know for sure until about March.

I don't want to go away for just a year and come back with a few good stories and a basic grasp of the native language(s). I want to leave India as an Indian, with fluency in Hindi, Telugu, maybe Tamil or Kannada. I want to make life long friends and have a family out there. Then maybe I can go back and work and live out there someday after going to University. This gap year will change my life in so many ways and I hope I will change the lives of the people I meet and the children I teach.

I want to thank everyone for their help and support so far, so in return I will keep you posted on fundraising events and general news ect. Thanks : D
